Taken in the wild this in-flight eagle is looking directly in to the camera. As always the original bald eagle photo is very clear and in this case less contrasty (this photo will be rescanned soon).  The eagles is very easy to separate from the sky background, thus allowing the eagle to be superimposed over any other photo background or graphic.

The eagle JPEG files have been optimized for downloading,  the originals are far more detailed.  They were scanned using 20-30% JPG compression and you don't go from 10 megabyte files to 35k without losing something. Drum scans are available written to the media of your choice (CDROM usually works the best) at 20-50mb (even larger given 5 business days).
